RAFT is excited to invite advocates, preventionists, and professionals in the sexual and domestic violence field to our Reclaiming Wellness series: a brand-new lineup of free, virtual workshops designed to support your well-being, spark meaningful conversations, and build a more sustainable future for our movement.
Whether you’ve attended our core “Building Blocks to Resiliency” series or are brand new to RAFT, this is your chance to experience our newest workshops, previously offered at conferences—now available to everyone, no travel required.
Each month from August to November, we’ll explore how to:

Healing from Urgency Culture

In this workshop, participants will explore the cultural pressures of urgency and their impact on workplace dynamics and personal well-being. Through guided reflection and interactive activities, you'll learn to recognize the signs of urgency culture and adopt practical strategies to prioritize sustainability, balance, and intentional leadership. This session empowers participants to shift from reactive to proactive approaches, fostering healthier environments where individuals and teams can thrive without sacrificing their mental and emotional health.
Insights for Thriving Anti-Violence Organizations
September 10th at 2 pm ET / 1 pm CT / 12 pm MT / 11 am PT
This RAFT workshop will share recent research documenting the professional support and barriers experienced by anti-violence advocates. Data, based on responses from advocates working at domestic and sexual violence services organizations, includes direct quotes and examples of effective policies and practices. Join in the discussion of what works in advocacy!
Saying Yes to Self-Care
October 8th at 2 pm ET / 1 pm CT / 12 pm MT / 11 am PT
This workshop empowers participants to prioritize their well-being by exploring the connection between healthy boundaries and self-care. Learn practical strategies for setting boundaries and discover how to say "no" in a positive, compassionate way that honors your values and needs. By saying "yes" to self-care, you'll gain the tools to create space for what truly matters in your life and work.
How to Ask for Help
November 12th at 2 pm ET / 1 pm CT / 12 pm MT / 11 am PT
Asking for help can be challenging, but it's a crucial skill for building resilience and sustaining well-being. In this workshop, participants will learn how to identify when they need support, overcome barriers like guilt or fear of judgment, and communicate their needs effectively. Through interactive exercises and discussions, you'll develop strategies to create a culture of mutual support and collaboration in your personal and professional life. This session will empower you to embrace help-seeking as a strength, fostering connection and growth.
