A: RAFT stands for Resilience for Advocates through Foundational Training – a mission grounded in supporting the wellness of people doing the vital work of SV/DV advocacy.
Q: What does RAFT do?
A: RAFT provides trauma-informed, evidence-based wellness support for people working in sexual and domestic violence organizations. Our work includes:
- Interactive workshops and coaching on topics like stress, burnout, boundaries, and sustainable advocacy
- Monthly support calls that hold space for advocates to connect, share, and support each other in community
- Appreciative Inquiry facilitation to help teams build healthier, strengths-based workplace cultures
- Research and learning initiatives to uncover what’s working in the field and share best practices that help advocacy organizations thrive
- A growing library of digital wellness tools and resources created specifically for advocates
We’re here to strengthen the people who strengthen others – offering support that’s practical, meaningful and free.
Q: Is RAFT truly free? How do you fund this?
A: Absolutely—all of RAFT’s services are 100% free, thanks to generous funding from private donors committed to strengthening SV/DV organizational capacity. There are no hidden fees—ever.
