Volunteers
Make an impact on the lives of sexual and domestic violence advocates by teaching the RAFT curriculum.
The effects of sexual and domestic violence on our society can seem like a never ending cycle. Although advocates are committed to providing relief, the demands of the job can leave them emotionally and physically depleted. RAFT provides advocates with the support they need to further their cause—and volunteers are a crucial part of our mission strategy.
Our volunteer courses and workshops will teach you the RAFT Project fundamentals, so you can offer advocates tools to strengthen their resilience against compassion fatigue and burnout. When you support advocates, you improve their lives and raise the standards of well-being for everyone affected by sexual and domestic violence.
“The RAFT workshop gave me an opportunity to gain deep insight into my inner core values and shift them so that I prioritize who I am. I will consciously be empathetic to others and to myself.”
– Tanushree from Wajood, 2014
Upon completion of the program, you will receive an official RAFT certification to add to your toolbox, so you can go forward and put your training to good use. You will have the knowledge you need to write blog posts, help with outreach, organize events and provide RAFT workshops to sexual and domestic violence organizations in your community.
